OKLAHOMA CITY -- Two men accused of shooting and robbing an Oklahoma County deputy are due in court for a preliminary hearing Thursday.

Prosecutors say 28-year-old Christopher Baker and 18-year-old Keonta Prince ambushed Major John Waldenville as he left Cattlemen's Steakhouse in southwest Oklahoma City. Major Waldenville was working as a security guard at the restaurant and was heading to a bank to deposit money when he was shot in the head.

The 60-year-old lost his right eye. He is slowly recovering from the wound.

Baker and Prince are charged with intent to kill and robbery with a firearm.
