GUTHRIE, Oklahoma – Local churches and businesses in Guthrie are joining together to host the "Back Yard Bash", a Children's festival on Friday evening, July 29 and all day Saturday, July 30.
Organizers say the goal of this event is to provide a fun and safe environment for the children of Guthrie and Logan County so they can enjoy free food, music, inflatable toys, carnival games, give-a-ways and Bible stories. Ultimately, organizers would like to encourage children and their families to become connected to a local church.
The Children's Festival started in 2005 with 1,338 people attending the 3-day event. In 2010, many churches joined with 32 businesses to serve almost 3,000 children and adults over a Friday night and all-day Saturday venue.
