OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Athletics Association Board of Directors met Wednesday and decided on districting for multiple sports for the next few seasons.

The OSSAA released the new districts for Football for the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons, as well as the districts for baseball for 2011-12 and 2012-13.

On the football side, a few of the most notable changes are that Booker T. Washington moves up to Class 6A and will be in district one for the east side of the state with team like Union and Owasso.

In Class 5A Noble switched places with Southeast putting the Bears in 5A East-District 3.

The board also made changes to the powerhouse district three in Class 3A. Bethany was moved out of 3A-3 and is replaced by Bethel, while the Bethany Bronchos move to 3A-2.

In 2A, Washington and Dibble switched places, putting Washington back in district 2A-3 like it has been the past few years.

Class A saw Watonga and Apache switch districts and no changes were made to Class B or Class C. No changes were recommended in Class 4A.

As far as baseball goes, the board of directors also approved that Bricktown Ballpark will host the 2011 fall baseball championships.

Only the championship games, which will be played on Oct. 8, will be held at the Bricktown Ballpark. The first and second rounds are tentatively scheduled for Edmond school sites.
