NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Police in Norman say two people are behind a string of armed robberies targeting women in the metro. One woman is under arrest in connection to the robberies as police continue to look for her partner in crime.

Police say the robberies in Norman began Saturday at an eastside Walmart parking lot. An hour later, police say the duo attempted to rob a woman at a 7-11 convenience store at Robinson and Interstate 35. Then, they set their sights on a customer at Sooner Mall.

Police say a woman in Moore was also targeted by the crew.

Timilie Hughes is under arrest in connection to the crimes. Police would not go into detail on how they found Hughes but say a tip from Blanchard Police helped investigators in Norman.

"We believe charges will be filed today or tomorrow," said Captain Tom Easley of Norman police.

With Hughes behind bars, police are now looking for her partner who is described as a black man. In the meantime, police say people should stay on their toes.

"If someone tries to take [your belongings,] my goodness, let them have it because it's not worth your life," Capt. Easley said.

In all, four women were targeted in the robberies.

If you have any information on the remaining suspect, you are urged to contact Norman police at (405)-321-1600.
