Police Investigate Officer-Involved Shooting In Moore

MOORE, Oklahoma -- Police are investigating a shooting at a police officer's home, located in the 2100 block of Nail Parkway in Moore, Oklahoma Saturday.

The police tape has been taken down around the house where the shooting happened and investigators left the scene at around 6:30 p.m.

News 9 confirmed that an Oklahoma City Police officer did fire one round hitting another person. Investigators said this may have stemmed from a domestic dispute that happened sometime Friday night, though they are still not sure of where that altercation took place.

The person who was shot then took off on foot but authorities were able to track him down.

The Oklahoma City Police Department did tell us the officer is on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation by the Moore Police Department.

"Well at this time we, I can't classify either one as a victim or a suspect. We're still investigating that but I do know the person who was shot was the one who ran over to pole road,"said Ted Belling with the Moore Police Department.

Investigators told News 9 that the person who was shot suffered non life-threatening injuries and wasn't operated on Saturday night. They don't have anyone in custody and don't plan on making any arrests in this case at this time.

News 9 also learned the person was shot in the lower body. Police have not confirmed the name of the officer or the person he shot.

Investigators said they're still working to figure out how the men knew each other.
