Nick and I finished up a childbirth class and they showed a list of things that indicate labor is getting near. At the top of the list was "nesting". I had to laugh! I've been nesting for the last month! But I admit, it has hit a fever pitch.
Unfortunately the baby's room is at a standstill until we get the rest of the furniture. We were hoping it would be here this week, but that's looking less likely. I just heard it's on a truck making it's way to Oklahoma, so fingers crossed it gets here next week.
I did just finish making a bumper pad for the bassinet. I'm happy with the way it turned out, especially because I'm not really a seamstress! My mother-in-law gave us the bassinet and it was a white color, so Nick painted it brown (to match our bedroom) and I had some leftover material from a blanket so I made a bumper to jazz it up a bit.
I've also turned my attention to preparing for after the baby gets here. You ought to see my freezer. It is packed. I have chuck roasts to make pot roasts with. I pre-made chicken casseroles & meatloaf. And I have a few pork tenderloins. I hope we don't get too sick of the same food - oh well!
Next on my list is making a blanket for the baby's room. So I guess if nesting is any indication labor is near, we could be greeting Gage VERY soon!
