A collision between a metro bus and an SUV sent 12 people to the hospital Thursday morning.
The accident occurred in the 600 block of North Indiana Avenue around 9:48 a.m. According to Oklahoma City Fire Battalion Chief Brian Stanaland, EMSA took 12 people to the hospital with injuries, two people from the SUV and 10 from the bus.
One person was listed in serious condition, but all the injuries are considered non-life threatening.
Police said the SUV appeared to be running a red light when it was struck by the Metro Transit bus. Surveillance video recorded by a camera on the bus shows it veering off the road and into an electrical pole and power lines.
The bus then crashed into a building, causing significant damage. It's not known how long it will take to repair the damage.
OG&E crews quickly repaired the damaged power lines.
