A man was hit by a car just before 10 p.m. Friday at May Avenue and N.W. 36th street in Oklahoma City.
Police said the car was traveling so fast that when it hit the man, it actually knocked him out of one of his shoes. After hitting the man, the driver stopped to check his condition and called police.
A witness described the accident as horrifying.
"It's hard for me to talk about it. It was just so hard to see. He flew sideways and hit the curb," the witness said.
The witness said the area is known for car accidents involving pedestrians.
The man was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries. According to police, those injuries are non-life threatening.
