College students gave up their Spring Break vacation to give back with Habitat for Humanity.

Five groups of student volunteers across the country are in our state this week to help build and repair homes for those in need.

Two of the groups will help build eight new churches, houses, and university buildings.

"Being a student and seeing how many things have happened over the years between high school, and now in college, I wanted to always give a helping hand," Caitlin Mackiewicz said.

Several local businesses and organizations are providing food and housing to the students during their stay here in the metro.
