Fire investigators are still working to determine the cause of an early morning house fire in southeast Oklahoma City.
According to the fire department, crews responded to the fire at about 4:30 a.m. Friday, at a house located in the 14000 block of Prairie Lane.
Fire officials said the fire started in the garage at the house, and two vehicles in the garage were also on fire.
Crews were able to stop the fire from spreading to the home. However, the home did receive some smoke damage.
Firefighters faced a bit of a challenge because the nearest fire hydrant was a half mile down the road.
"They used almost all of their supply hose which we carry about 1500 feet. So it was a pretty good lay to get that in here," Bat. Chief Richard Kelly said.
Three people were inside the home when the fire first broke out. One person received minor smoke inhalation. Officials said he did not require any medical attention, and is expected to be okay.
The cause of this fire is still under investigation.
