Join Oklahoma's Own News 9 for a different kind of Road Trip as we visit Norman for the Medieval Fair on March 30. In 2012, Road Trip Oklahoma will still be traveling the state to get to know Oklahomans, but we'll also be visiting some of the state's festivals, celebrations, and events.
The Fair, held annually since 1977, began as a small one-day event hosted by the University of Oklahoma's English Department. Since its inception, it's grown from a small gathering of students held on campus to a three-day event held at Reaves Park that is attended by thousands of visitors from all over the state. The Medieval Fair was the first of its kind in Oklahoma and is still one of the few free Medieval Fairs in the nation.
This year's Fair runs from Friday, March 30 to Sunday, April 1 and admission is free. With over two hundred arts and crafts booths, seven stages with continuous performances, wandering minstrels, dancing, juggling, knights on horseback, and food fit for royalty, there will be no shortage of things to see and experience at this year's Medieval Fair.
Join Oklahoma's Own News 9 as we explore one of our state's most unique experiences on March 30.
