My lovely bride arrived last Tuesday from Pompano Beach and even though it had been a couple days from the last time I had seen her, she certainly was a sight for sore eyes. I am so excited to have her here in Oklahoma! Although, residing with her on the beach in sunny south Florida was REALLY nice while it lasted.
While I was there for a week, Sharon lived there for most of her life. As you would expect, the temperate, sultry climate of south Florida is a lot easier to take than the dangerous extremes of Oklahoma. But I am proud of her! She has a great attitude about moving to Oklahoma. She also knows that because I'm a meteorologist in Oklahoma my hours do vary during the storm season. We in the weather department affectionately call our spouses "Weather Widows" because of the long hours we put in when the weather gets really bad.
Sharon has been going through my house and helping "reorganize" the way I had things set up. Having a wife who is organized and determined is a huge benefit to her husband, and I am the fortunate beneficiary to these great qualities!
While Sharon was organizing my garage late this last week, I got a text from her. On Friday, while storms possible, I texted her to let her know I may have some odd hours that day or that night. She responded back with this text and a picture:
"The news that I would be a weather widow today was tough but to be a weather widow with black widows is a WHOLE NOTHER THING!!!!! :)."
She can handle just about anything but spiders; especially poisonous ones! But we both did get a laugh at the way she wrote out the text. I hope you found it funny, too!
And YES; I have made sure the garage and house have been sprayed for spiders!
