Dogs are turning up dead in Bridge Creek, a town near Tuttle; and neighbors say someone is poisoning them. We first reported on this situation last month and victims thought the situation had stopped.

That is until Saturday, when a man called the Grady County Sheriff's Office saying his dogs had been killed.

Neighbors don't know what to do.

The sheriff's office has been called in once again, to the very same Bridge Creek  neighborhood after a father and son found their dog "Jake" dead, and they think it was another poisoning.

Cody Townsend had seen our stories from his neighbors, Brad Brooks, Pattye Lish and Carli Lehman.

"When I heard about it originally, I just thought they'd gotten into something, then to have it happen to mine," 20-year-old Cody Townsend said.

"I walked outside and turned the corner and he was stiff as a board, eyes wide open and completely unresponsive," Brad Brooks said. He was the first to tell us about the problem on camera back in March.

"We had cats, they disappeared," Pattye Lish said. She moved to get away from a man she says was poisoning her pets.

"That's just not right what kind of sick person would do that?" Lehman questioned back in March.

All told News 9, someone is poisoning their dogs on purpose.

Lehman was worried after she says her boys found the family dog "Bubba" beheaded in the drive-way.

It's a pet owners' worst nightmare, and one Townsend says has now happened to him.

"We didn't think anything of it at the time," he said. "I'm thinking something different now."

It's been a few weeks and the dog poisonings seemed to stop. But Townsend says he found his dog "Jake" dead on Saturday night, and it wasn't from being shot or run over.

"Throwing up its stomach lining and you could tell it wasn't natural," Townsend said. "Somebody is just sick, and either doesn't have nothing better to do or messed up in the head. Something is going on."

All the neighbors have been keeping their eyes peeled on the block where all this is happening.

The sheriff's Office says dog poisonings are tough to prove unless someone is caught in the act.

"I want to see the guy caught so I don't have to worry about my dogs being out," Townsend said.

Townsend says his dog was out, but the others say they kept their dogs fenced in when the poisonings happened.

Calls to Grady County Sheriff's Office were not returned on Tuesday, but at last check they said they needed help with this case. Call (405)-222-1000 if you have any information.
