A man crashed his car in Oklahoma City after leading Valley Brook police on a high-speed pursuit Friday night.
According to police, the pursuit started at around 10 p.m. Friday near 64th Street and Eastern Road. Officers were trying to make a routine traffic stop. However, the driver took off at speeds nearing 80 mph.
Police then began chasing the vehicle as it turned onto Service Road on the north side of I-240. The driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a curb, according to authorities.
The car rolled several times near Pole Road. The man was able to crawl out of the car. He was treated at the scene and taken into custody.
The driver's identity has not been released. It is unclear at this time why he ran away from police in the first place.
