A crash early Monday morning on the Turner Turnpike sent two people to the hospital and shut down the highway for a time.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a dump truck filled with hot asphalt pulled out onto the turnpike in a work zone near Stroud.
The driver of an 18-wheeler didn't have enough time to stop and plowed into the dump truck, spilling the asphalt all over the roadway.
OHP troopers shut down the turnpike while crews cleaned up the mess.
All lanes have since been reopened to traffic.
No word on how badly the victims were injured.
