A former third-grade teacher and an ex-college professor accused of sexually exploiting young students entered pleas of "not guilty" Wednesday morning in a Pottawatomie County courtroom.

Former Oklahoma Baptist University professor Gary Doby is charged with 18 counts of sexual exploitation of a child, and one count of conspiracy. Kimberly Crain, a former teacher at McLoud Elementary School, faces the same charges plus an additional 11 counts of possession of juvenile pornography.

Prosecutors say Crain took nude and half-nude photos of more than a dozen young girls in her classroom, and shared the photos with Doby, who was living in Pennsylvania at the time.

Both Crain and Doby are due back in court on August 7, when a judge will schedule a date for their trials.
