Prosecutors Charge OKC Woman Accused Of Running Down Boyfriend

The Oklahoma County District Attorney has formally charged a 26-year-old woman accused of running over and killing her boyfriend.

Maria Rodriguez is charged with one count of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. Police said Rodriguez and Jose Ontiveros-Delgado had been dating for about a year when they began arguing early on the morning of June 17.

Witnesses said around 6 a.m., Rodriguez hit Ontiveros-Delgado with her car in front of his brother's house. He was taken to OU Medical Center where he died.

Police said Rodriguez left the scene, but was later found at her home and arrested.
