The Oklahoma City Police Burglary Unit is trying to identify a woman suspected of breaking into a car in a Target parking lot and stealing a purse.
The victim said she went into the store near Memorial and Penn on July 4, but quickly realized she'd left her purse in the car. When she returned to her vehicle, she saw her window was smashed and her purse was gone.
Police say just minutes later, the woman's credit card was used inside the store. Investigators obtained surveillance video from Target and saw the suspect using the stolen card, walking out of the store, and then driving away in her vehicle.
Police are hoping someone will recognize the woman from the surveillance images. She has dark hair and was wearing a white shirt and denim skirt when she left the store. Police also obtained video of her car leaving the parking lot, but could not identify the make or model.
Police urge anyone with information about this case to call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
