Suspect Arrested After Near-Crash With Deputy, Pursuit In OKC

According to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office, a deputy briefly chased Nathaniel Sims after the near collision.

A deputy leaving the Santa Fe South Schools' campus in Oklahoma City initiates a pursuit after nearly being hit by another driver.

The driver is identified as 40-year-old Nathaniel Sims. According to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office, the deputy briefly chased Sims after the near collision. Within a few seconds, Sims lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a vacant mobile home at the corner of S.E. 56th Street and South Shields in Oklahoma City.

Deputies said Sims took off on foot, but was eventually arrested after a 10 minute foot pursuit. Sims was driving with a suspended license and will now face several more complaints including eluding a deputy.
