Oklahoma County Sheriff's deputies discovered a marijuana growing operation while questioning two people about an unrelated missing children's case out of Texas.

On July 18, the deputies went to a house in the 6300 block of S. Indian Meridian to speak with 42-year-old Ronald James Rogers and 48-year-old Dayna Michelle Lake. The two gave the deputies permission to search the house, and that's when authorities found the drugs.

The deputies called in agents from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. Investigators discovered 16 plants, several ounces of processed marijuana, marijuana seeds, two rifles and one automatic pistol.

Deputies arrested Rogers on several complaints, including possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and possession of a weapon while committing a felony. Lake was arrested on outstanding warrants from unrelated cases for drug possession, driving under the influence, and failure to carry insurance verification.
