Residents At SW OKC Apartment Complex Without A/C For Weeks

Tenants at a southwest Oklahoma City apartment complex say they're fed up with not having any A/C.

Hillcrest Residence apartment residents tell us some of them have been without working central air conditioning for several weeks.

They say apartment managers have lied to them about getting the air conditioning fixed. Some residents are in poor health, and not having air conditioning makes their health problems worse.

Machelle Barnhill says her sister is disabled and lives in Hillcrest Residence.

"Something needs to be done , it needs to be stopped. My sister is disabled. I'm pissed off about this if you want to know the truth," she said.

Hillcrest Residence's manager left her office at 4:30 p.m. Monday. They are supposed to stay open until 5 p.m.
