After the brutally hot summer we have had, it is nice to know that seasons change. Fall officially arrives in Oklahoma on Saturday, September 22, at 9:49 a.m. Get out the bells and whistles, right??
Fortunately, we have had some glimpses of autumn with this past cold front last weekend and we should have more fall-like weather late this week, as well! It is looking like there will be plenty of great days to get out to the state fair, too. It begins Thursday, September 13.
Now that we are able to get out and enjoy the more comfortable temps, here comes hay fever or rag weed season. It has kicked into high gear. You can check the latest allergy count on News9.com's weather page. The link is located just above the current conditions graphic on the main page.
It should last about another month until the first frost or freeze. The first frost typically is late October and the first freeze on average occurs during the first week of November.
