More Than 250 Motorcyclists Gather At News 9 For Stan's Ride

More than 250 motorcycle riders and a total of 500 people gathered outside the News 9 studios Sunday morning for the 2nd annual "Oklahoma's Own Ride Against Childhood Hunger."

More than 250 motorcycle riders and a total of 500 people gathered outside the News 9 studios Sunday morning for the 2nd annual "Oklahoma's Own Ride Against Childhood Hunger."

The riders came to our studios at 7 a.m. Sunday to sign up for the event. They left the station at 9 a.m. and arrived at their final destination, Forman Harley in Stillwater, at about 12 p.m. Sunday.

Sunday's event raised $108,780 and was matched by the Food Bank dollar for dollar up to $100k, bringing the grand total to $208,780.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma's Childhood Hunger programs.

At Forman Harley in Stillwater, riders were able to bid on all sorts of items from Thunder tickets to the Reba McEntire concert, and autographed guitars from country music stars.
