Suspect Arrested Two Months After Fatal OKC Shooting

The Warrant Team from the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office arrested a murder suspect Monday in the fatal shooting of a 36-year-old man.

The Warrant Team from the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office arrested a murder suspect Monday in the fatal shooting of a 36-year-old man.

The team, with help from the Moore Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service, took 23-year-old Amadeaus Jackson into custody in the 800 block of N.W. 27th Street in Moore.

Investigators say Jackson and Quante Shelton attacked and shot Samuel Stevens near Rotary Park at S.W. 15th Street and Penn on July 30. A friend drove Stevens to a nearby hospital, where he died.

Arrest warrants were issued for Jackson and Shelton on August 2.

"We have been searching for Jackson for quite some time," said Oklahoma County Sheriff John Whetsel. "He is now in custody and will face the charge against him."

Jackson was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on a complaint of first-degree murder.

Shelton has not been caught.
