Police Arrest Suspect Following Car Chase, Manhunt In NE OKC

Police arrested a suspect who led officers on a car chase and then a manhunt in northeast Oklahoma City Tuesday night.

According to police, the suspect -- identified as Dejuan Lewis -- sped away when officers tried to pull him over. He led officers on a brief car chase, before crashing his vehicle near N.E.16th Street and Palomino Drive in Oklahoma City.

Police say Lewis jumped out of the car and ran. Officers called in K9 units and the Oklahoma City police helicopter to help with the search.

Police soon found Lewis hiding in a shed in a wooded area. He was arrested and booked into Oklahoma County jail on a complaint of eluding police.

It's unclear why the man refused to stop for police.
