Sonic Employees Help Beautify OKC Elementary School

More than 150 Sonic corporate employees joined together to help out the community.

The employees gathered at Wilson Elementary to do landscaping and revamp the school's playground area.

Sonic has a 16-year relationship with the school, doing everything from tutoring to providing new computers and other resources. All of this to give students the best school experience possible.

"All of these things say to them that their community has a sense of obligation for investment in these children's lives, and the same goes for our company in terms of working with Wilson to try to better their lives as well," said Cliff Hudson, Chief Executive Officer for the Sonic Corporation.

Monday's work is part of a three-phase landscape project funded by Sonic.

The project began over the summer and should be finished by December.
