I don't know that we could ask for better weather for the all the little Trick-or-Treaters this year. This evening we'll have clear skies, light winds, and temps in the 60s falling to the upper 50s. A slight chill in the air, but I doubt the kids will notice with all the chocolate and caramel apples around. Absolutely Spooktacular!
Remember to snap pics of your lil ghosts and goblins, and then send them into us. We will do our best to get them on the air.
Here at News 9 we have a costume contest every year, and I have already found my favorite costume! Alanna Bradley, our Sports Web Content Producer, dressed up as Dorothy and made her own tornado to sweep her away from Kansas. The tornado has already picked up cows, fences, trees, and pigs. So creative!!
We also have a pumpkin decorating contest, and this year's entries have blown my mind. Check them out! The tailgating pumpkins are my absolute favorite. I think because of my love for food. Speaking of food, I made some festive cupcakes for the kiddos here at News 9. I wish I could take credit for the idea, but it's straight from Pinterest. They turned out so good, and they were super easy to make.
I hope everyone has a happy and safe Halloween! Send me pics of your costumes, pumpkins, and treats. Tweet me at @laceyswope, tag me on Facebook, or email them to Pics@news9.net.
