A missing woman who Edmond police say may be in distress was found safe in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart store in Edmond Tuesday night.

According to Edmond police, Dallas Richardson was found inside her car at the parking lot of a Wal-Mart store, located at Santa Fe Avenue and Danforth Road.

Richardson, 34, had left a box of personal belongings on the front porch of a house she was renting at 1015 W. Pruett Drive in Edmond. The landlord found the box Monday morning.

Inside the box, police say they discovered envelopes addressed to family members and friends, her phone, family photos, birth certificate, social security card, and a last will and testament. There are also instructions on how to handle property and finances.

Richardson left a note on the back of one of the envelopes that she would be found dead in a car crash somewhere, according to police.

Police say Richardson also left behind her cat, who is being taken care of right now by Animal Welfare Center staff members.
