Crook Burglarizes NE OKC Home After Couple Rushes To Hospital

A man who rushed his pregnant wife to the hospital discovered someone broke into and burglarized his house while his wife was in labor.

The couple left their house in the 800 block of N.E. 81st Street around 2 p.m. on December 30. When the man returned the next morning, he discovered his house had been burglarized. The thief stole about $4,500 worth of electronics, clothing and cash.

The victim had three security cameras at his home. The suspect disconnected one, but the homeowner was still able to obtain some footage of the break-in.

Police have released pictures of the burglary suspect. Anyone who recognizes the man in the photos is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300. Callers can remain anonymous, and may be eligible for a cash reward.
