Police Arrest Suspect In Beating Death Of SW OKC Man

Oklahoma City Police have arrested one suspect in the August 2012 beating death of 55-old-man; but they are still searching for a second, unidentified suspect.

Oklahoma City Police have arrested one suspect in the August 2012 beating death of 55-old-man; but they are still searching for a second, unidentified suspect.

Tony Overton, 46, was arrested Thursday, February 7, and booked into the Oklahoma County jail on one count of first-degree murder. Police say Overton was one of two men who forced their way into Ricky Wallice's home in the 1800 block of S.W. 19th Street.

Wallice's girlfriend told police the two men beat Wallice, stole a camera, and pedaled away from the crime scene on their bicycles.

Four days after the beating, Wallice died from his injuries.
