Man Arrested For Possession Of Marijuana At SE OKC Motel

Police arrested a man at a motel in southeast Oklahoma City for the possession of marijuana on Wednesday.

According to police, at about 11:40 p.m., officers were conducting a walk-through investigation at the Best Value Inn, located at 4800 S. I-35 in Oklahoma City. Police say the area is known for high criminal activity, such as drugs, stolen vehicles, and prostitution.

The officers were walking through the south side of the complex when they saw the suspect, later identified as 30-year-old William Roger White, leaving his room. According to police, when White saw the officers, he acted suspiciously by pausing for a moment, turning around quickly, and taking off running towards his room.

The officers were able to stop White. They found a knife and a red metal container in White's front pocket.

Officers found marijuana in the metal container. White was then taken into custody.

Police also found a clear glass pipe containing white residue inside the room White was staying at.

White also had a warrant out for his arrest from Cleveland County. Another person in his room, Jarrod William Elix, was also taken into custody due to an arrest warrant out of Jackson County.
