FBI Searches For Ponca City Bank Robber

According to the FBI, the man entered Cherokee Strip Credit Union in Ponca City around 10:45 a.m. and handed the teller a note demanding money.

A man ran out of a Ponca City bank Wednesday morning with a bag full of cash.

According to the FBI, the man entered Cherokee Strip Credit Union in Ponca City around 10:45 a.m. He handed the teller a note demanding money be placed in a blue bank bag. The teller complied. The robber grabbed the unknown amount of cash and ran out of the bank. He was last seen running west on Prospect Avenue.

The bank robber did not display a weapon, and no one was hurt in the robbery.

The FBI has released surveillance camera images of the robber. He's described as a white male in his late 40s or early 50s. He's 5 feet 8 inches tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans, a multi-colored plaid shirt, a dark-colored jacket and dark shoes.
