Firefighters rescued a man and a toddler from a spillway in Edmond Friday night.

Emergency crews responded to the incident at about 7:30 p.m. in the 4600 block of N.W. 155th Street.

Officials say a man and a toddler were trapped in a spillway near a creek. Firefighters were able to pull them out quickly.

The two weren't trapped because of water, according to fire officials. They couldn't get out because it was extremely slick.

Rescue crews say the toddler was wet and cold, but no one was injured.
