Massive Fire Burns McLoud Salvage Yard

Firefighters battled huge flames in McLoud when fire swept through a salvage yard near S.E. 29th Street and Pottawatomie Road.

The fire broke out about midnight Friday. Flames consumed several items in the salvage yard, along with a structure. Harrah joined McLoud's fire department in trying to put out the blaze. It took crews about an hour to get it under control.

No one was hurt. Investigators are trying to determine what started the fire.
