Pam Courtois still can't get into her home to retrieve the few belongings she has left, but that doesn't matter. That's because she finally found her dog, Jake.

News 9 first met Pam on Tuesday, as she was walking along S. 19th St. with her daughters. They had to walk four miles to get to their neighborhood, only to discover her home had been demolished.

They packed up what little they could in three rolling suitcases. But all Pam wanted was her dog back. And she had no idea where he was.

One of her daughters started searching the Internet for any sign of her lost laboradoodle . She found one picture that said "friends for life", and knew it was Jake in the picture. Someone had found him, and taken him to the Cleveland County fairgrounds.

"I just wish I could find that person and thank him," said Pam. "Jake is like my baby! I may have lost my home, but at least I have him back! That's all that matters!"
