A long-time local rock band is missing nearly all its equipment and instruments after thieves targeted a home last week in Moore.

A storage trailer belonging to the band Brown Note was taken from the driveway of a home on Larkspur Road near N.W. 27th Street.

Inside the trailer was an estimated $45,000 worth of equipment used by band members.

"Whenever something like this is taken away from you it's like cutting your arm off. They are the tools of your trade and if you don't have them, you're just stuck," lead guitarist Alan Bailey said.

The trailer is mostly kept in a backyard but Bailey says it was moved to the front driveway to avoid potential flooding during the last round of storms that went through Moore.

The group has been together for more than 25 years and has performed free shows to help raise money for local charities and fundraisers. In the meantime, other bands and groups are lending Brown Note their instruments so the show can go on.

Bailey says they don't know who took the trailer; however, the band can't help but wonder if the thieves are looters or someone else who may be in town trying to target storm victims.

For more information on the band you can go online to http://www.brownnoteok.com/fr_intropage.cfm. Photos of the band's missing equipment are posted on the group's Facebook page.

If you know anything about the theft, please call Moore police.
