Oklahoma County sheriff's deputies arrest a drunk driving suspect after seeing sparks fly from underneath a damaged car being driven on rims.

On September 15 around 1:30 a.m., a deputy saw 30-year-old Jonathan Sheaffer driving in the 7000 block of Interstate 44. The car was missing at least one tire, had a cracked windshield, damage to the roof and grass stuck to the car.

The deputy stopped Sheaffer and smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from him. The deputy ordered him to get out of the car, but Sheaffer refused several times to obey commands before finally getting out of the car.

Sheaffer told the deputy a deer ran into his car, but the deputy determined Sheaffer was likely involved in a rollover crash, but was somehow still able to drive the vehicle.

Sheaffer reportedly admitted he was drinking. He was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County jail on a complaint of driving under the influence of alcohol.
