Former NBA Guard Arraigned, Rapper Surrenders At Oklahoma County Jail

Two high-profile defendants, former NBA guard DeAndre Liggins and rapper Mack Maine, have been charged in separate cases involving assaults on women.

Former Oklahoma City Thunder guard DeAndre Liggins went to the Oklahoma County jail around 8:30 a.m. to support his friend and co-defendant, Marcus Rogers. Liggins is charged with seven felony counts in a domestic violence case involving his girlfriend. On August 31, the woman called police and said Liggins had attacked her in front of their 2-year-old son.

Police say Rogers was present during the assault. Both men were formally arraigned after leaving the jail.

Liggins is charged with seven counts, including domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping, domestic abuse in the presence of a minor child, and violating a VPO. The Thunder waived Liggins soon after his arrest.

Rogers was charged with kidnapping and domestic abuse in the presence of a minor child.

Rapper Mack Maine also surrendered Friday morning to Oklahoma City Police. The rapper, whose real name is Jermaine Anthony Preyan, was in Oklahoma City in August for a concert with Lil Wayne, T.I. and 2 Chainz. He's the president of Young Money Entertainment, a record label founded by Lil Wayne.

Police say on August 22, Preyan had an altercation with two women on a tour bus. They say he groped one woman, and punched another in the face, breaking her jaw. He's charged with aggravated sexual battery and sexual battery.

The alleged assault occurred the same day rapper 2 Chainz was arrested in Oklahoma City after he and 10 others refused to get off their tour bus following a traffic stop. The assault involving Preyan happened on a different tour bus.
