Investigators Identify Woman Found Dead In Rural Logan County

Investigators released the identity of a woman whose body was found in rural Logan County. The Logan County Sheriff's Department identified the woman as 33-year-old Mindy Carder.

A family walking by discovered the body around 9 a.m. Friday in the 9900 block of S. Bryant. Deputies say there were signs of trauma to her body, and investigators believe her body was dumped along the dead-end road.

Timothy Slawson, 21, was arrested for Carder's murder. The Logan County Sheriff's Office says Slawson confessed to shooting and killing her. He even took them to the weapon and Carder's missing clothing.

He's expected to be formally charged on Tuesday.
