Residents are shaken up in a southwest Oklahoma City neighborhood after they say a man was shot and killed inside his SUV Friday night, and whoever pulled the trigger is still on the loose.

Roxie Hood and her daughter Kaylee say they hit the ground after they heard several gunshots around 10:30 p.m. Friday.

"It rattled. It was very terrifying," said Hood, who's lived on S.W. 30th Street all her life.

"My grandmother still lives on 30th street, I grew up on 30th street, and now, we're going to move. When you see a young man die in front of your eyes, it's very traumatic."

Hood said she saw a man chasing after a black SUV, and saw the SUV speed in reverse down the street to get away. She says the SUV driver slammed into a mailbox, and then slumped over on the passenger side.

"I could see his face and he didn't have any facial expression, so I could tell like he was pretty much gone," Kaylee Hood said.

Roxie Hood is a registered nurse. She says she rushed out her home, put the driver on the ground and did CPR for 10 minutes. She says he was shot twice in his shoulder, and one bullet went through his rib cage.

"I did all I could and was covered in his blood. I'm so sorry for his family."

Brandy Hernandez lives two doors down from Hood and said it was a gory scene on their typically quiet street.

"I kept trying to keep my kids away from the windows so they wouldn't see the body in the street," Hernandez said.

"When the paramedics were putting him in the ambulance, they had to stop, like it took three times to give him CPR."

Hood says she also saw a man and a woman from the SUV throw drugs on a nearby lawn before police found it.

"I don't know what kind of stuff he was into, but I know nobody needs to die like that," said Hood.

"Nobody. Like, there's nothing that he could've done so bad that the person who did this would want to take another person's life like that."

Hood says the victim's girlfriend was frantic at the scene. She says he was a 28-year-old man named Renaldo.

Oklahoma City Police say the victim was pronounced dead at the hospital, and no arrests have been made.
