Road Trip: National Weather Festival

The News 9 weather team is headed to Norman for our November Road Trip stop at the National Weather Festival on Saturday, November 2nd.

Come see us at the News 9 booth inside the atrium of the National Weather Service Building from 9am-1pm. Meet News 9 Chief Meteorologist David Payne as well as Bob Mills SkyNews 9 Pilot Jim Gardner and other News 9 meteorologists and storm trackers between 9am and Noon.

This annual event highlights weather related organizations and activities in central Oklahoma.

You and your family can tour the National Weather Center facility including the National Weather Service forecast operation areas, enjoy fun weather related activities for the kids as well as get an up close view at News 9's Bob Mills SkyNews9 HD Helicopter and David Payne's Storm Tracker 9 Truck plus much more!

There will be hourly weather balloon launches, so be sure to join us outside at Noon for the News 9 weather balloon launch.

The National Weather Center is located at 120 David L. Boren Blvd. in Norman, OK. It is on the corner of Highway 9 and Jenkins Ave. This free is free and open to the public. More information is available at www.nationalweatherfestival .org.
