Police have identified a man suspected of stealing $40,000 worth of watches from a hotel in Bethany.

Police have identified a man suspected of stealing $40,000 worth of watches from a hotel in Bethany.

News 9 aired a story about the burglary on October 31. Someone stole a black box from the victim's car, which was parked outside a Holiday Inn Express in Bethany. Inside the box were four Rolex watches and one TAG Heuer watch.

The suspect was then caught on video trying to get the stolen watches appraised at a Watches Etcetera store.

A viewer saw News 9's story and called police to identify the man seen in the surveillance video. The suspect is 29-year-old Chris Johnson. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
