Two men are now sitting in the Oklahoma County jail after deputies say they shot a man in the head during an apparent drug deal.

Sheriff's deputies say on Sunday, November 17, the victim went to N.E. 23rd Street and Houghson to meet Lance Beene, 27, and William Moore, 26, for a drug deal. The victim told investigators once he reached the location, the two men shot him while he was sitting in his car.

The victim was struck once in the head. He was rushed to a hospital in serious condition, but is expected to recover.

On Monday around 1:30 p.m., deputies located Beene and Moore. They were booked into jail on a complaint of assault and battery with a deadly weapon.

"This was great investigative work by our deputies who were able to quickly identify, and arrest the suspects in this case," Oklahoma County Sheriff John Whetsel said.
