Logan County Authorities hope surveillance video helps them catch a group of men who police believe are responsible for five convenience store burglaries in the past month.
The three most recent occurred between 3:30 and 5 a.m. Wednesday morning. Police have surveillance video from two of the heists.
Safdar Muhammad owns I.B's Convenience Store on West Waterloo in Logan County, the first of the three convenience stores that were hit. He says the burglars broke into his office and into his safe, and got a bag filled with $500.
"They need to go to jail," he said.
Guthrie Police Chief Damon Devereaux says investigators believe a group of at least four burglars have been working in pairs. He says they make entry through a front window or door, grab several cartons of cigarettes, and whatever money is close by, and then flee.
He says the surveillance video is good enough that someone will recognize one of the thieves.
"I think they can," he said.
