An arctic cold front is moving through the state right now. Behind the front, winds are gusting to 40 mph out of the north, and temperatures are dropping into the 20s and 30s with wind chills in the teens.

As temperatures continue to drop, light drizzle will begin to accumulate in NW OK. Freezing drizzle and some sleet is expected in central OK Thursday night into Friday morning. Far SE OK should see mainly rain. Temperatures should stay above freezing in the OKC Metro until after 8:00 p.m. this evening. As we head into the overnight light ice accumulations are expected.

Some areas across the state could see a glaze to .25" of ice and a trace to .75" of sleet. With winds howling out of the north up to 50 mph tonight, even the slightest amount of ice could cause some tree limbs to break and sporadic power outages. There is a threat of some slick bridges and overpasses by Friday morning.
