More than 100 rescue animals have found a home for the holidays, thanks to the Central Oklahoma Humane Society's free adoption event on Friday in Oklahoma City.

More than 100 rescue animals have found a home for the holidays, thanks to the Central Oklahoma Humane Society's free adoption event on Friday in Oklahoma City.

The Humane Society hosted the "Home for the Holidays" Black Friday adoption event from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hudiburg Subaru, located at I-240 and S. Shields Blvd. in Oklahoma City.

Volunteers also held free cat adoption events at the Humane Society's adoption center, PetSmart on I-240 in Oklahoma City, and PetSmart in Edmond.

According to the Humane Society, a total of 137 pets have been adopted, and they will get to celebrate this year's holidays with their new families.

Over 120 animals found new homes in less than three hours.

The adoption event was sponsored by Hudiburg Subaru.
