Seven months to the day after a tornado destroyed their house, a Carney family has received the keys to a new home.

On May 19, Jeremy and Jessica Knox, along with their four boys, lost everything when a tornado ripped through Carney. But now, they have a new place to call home. Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity and Hobby Lobby teamed up to give the family a new house.

Jessica Knox says the whole experience has been hard to explain.

"Surreal. It still doesn't seem possible," she said. "Jeremy mentioned today that it's been seven months. It just doesn't seem like it's been seven months. And to have a home in the exact same spot … it's exciting and scary, all rolled up in one."

Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity plans to build as many as 400 homes over the next three to five years for families impacted by the May tornadoes.
