Another surge of Arctic Air moves into Oklahoma overnight Wednesday, bringing some of the coldest air of a young 2014.

After midnight, winds will increase from the northeast at 15 to 30 mph as lows plummet into the upper single digits and lower teens. Wind chill values will range from the -5 to -15 degree range, prompting the Wind Chill Advisory northern and central Oklahoma.

Highs on Thursday won't recover much. Most of the state will stay in the 20s with a few 30s in southern Oklahoma. Even though winds will relax a little Thursday afternoon, wind chills will stay in the teens all afternoon.

Lows on Friday morning will drop back into the lower teens. Some good news: Weekend highs will return to the upper 50s and lower 60s.

We're still searching for our next best chances for precipitation. One computer model is trying to produce some light precipitation next week, but nothing drought-shattering.

We'll keep watching the trends. Stay with News 9.
