A Batteries Plus Bulbs franchisee donated more than $10,000 worth of batteries to Oklahoma City metro fire departments.

Brandon Boozer owns five Batteries Plus Bulbs stores in the Oklahoma City area and one in Lawton.

"As an Oklahoma-family owned business, our Batteries Plus Bulbs stores are committed to giving back to the communities and neighborhoods we call home," said Boozer. "We value these firefighters' courage and dedication to keeping our community safe and are proud to be able to extend our unique products and services to a local organization that works tirelessly to help others."

Boozer donated 3,900 9-volt batteries to 19 fire stations in Oklahoma City, Norman, Del City, El Reno, New Castle, Midwest City, Lawton, Mustang, Altus and more.

Part of the donations made to local fire departments will be used for fire prevention efforts and station needs. The other part will be given to homes and businesses to keep smoke and carbon monoxide detectors working.

After the May 2013 tornados, Boozer, along with Batteries Plus Bulbs corporate, donated more than $125,000 in light bulbs, batteries and flash lights to ensure community members had resources needed to assist with the emergency.
