OKC Police: Woman Threatens Store Manager After Stealing Beef Jerky

A woman is wanted by police after she allegedly robbed a retail store of beef jerky and then threatened the store manager.

Police say the woman, wearing white pajama pants and a pink shirt, entered the Dollar General Store located at 1603 N. Meridian in the afternoon of Tuesday, February 4. The manager and another witness told police the woman walked through the store and grabbed several items including two bags of Cherto Beef Jerky, then walked right past them holding the beef jerky in the air, as if showing them what she was taking, then walked out the door.

According to a police report, the manager and witness followed the woman out of the store, yelling at her, when the suspect turned around and stated "come on out here and I'll get the gun outta my purse." Police say the witnesses never saw a gun. The woman then got into the back seat of a white Chevy Tahoe and the driver took off.

The store released a surveillance picture of the suspect as she entered the store. Police describe the suspect as a black woman in her mid-20s. If you recognize her or know anything about this crime, call police.
